He was a well-loved radio DJ, a big dreamer, an entrepreneur in his own right. Three weeks after his forty-ninth birthday, that voice was silenced forever. He died with so much still inside him. So much the world never got to hear.
I didn't understand it then but I understand it now, and it's the reason this book exists.

Why I'm Writing It
I know this fear because I have lived it, more than once.
As a child, I learned that being seen came with a cost, and I spent years unknowingly making myself smaller because of it. As a professional singer, I lost my literal voice. As an entrepreneur, the business world taught me the same lesson all over again, and I spent nearly a decade staying safely out of the spotlight I once knew I was built for.
Different chapters, same pattern. Shrink, stay quiet, stay safe.
I know what it costs a person to stay silent. I also know what becomes possible the moment they choose not to.
This book is for the person who is more capable than they are visible. Who has built something real and is either still waiting for permission to be fully seen with it or who has outgrown it. Who has a voice the world needs to hear and a reason, buried somewhere in their own story, for why they've been keeping it quiet.
